Refunds

Effective 16 September 2026.

A membership is a month at a time, and there is a generous free part of every story to try first. If it was not what you expected, say so and we will refund it.

Within 14 days of any payment

Ask within fourteen days of a payment and it is refunded in full, no reason needed. That applies to the first payment and to any renewal — including one you did not mean to leave running.

After 14 days

Cancel from your account page. The renewal stops and you keep reading to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part of a month that has been used, except in the two cases below.

If we take something away

If we withdraw a story you were part-way through, or remove something material from what the membership promised when you joined, tell us and we will refund the rest of the period — or all of it, if you would rather leave.

If the site did not work

If the site was down or a chapter you paid for would not open, and we could not fix it promptly, tell us and we will refund the period affected.

Your legal rights

If you live in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have a right to withdraw from a subscription within 14 days of paying, and legal guarantees that a digital service works as described. This policy sits on top of those rights and never beneath them; where the law gives you more, the law applies.

How to ask

Email [email protected] from the address you paid with, or tell us which one that was. Paddle is the seller of record and issues the refund; it reaches the card or account it came from, normally within five to ten working days.

Chargebacks

Please ask us first. A chargeback costs us the fee as well as the payment and takes far longer to resolve than an email does — and we will not argue about a refund inside the window above.
